Interviewed for ‘Femina’
In an upcoming issue of the Danish weekly magazine for women, ‘Femina’, a series of articles will focus on online social networking and its implications for women. And I will be features in this series as a commentator and expert on various social networks, pro’s and con’s, do’s and don’ts etc.
Its quite funny actually. Because this is the second time, I have been interviewed on this subject. The first time was in a live studio interview on Danish Broadcasting Corporations Radio 1, ‘Harddisken’. And this is the second time I have been interviewed on anything relating to new media.
I don’t know when the series of articles will be in, but it should be in one of the coming weeks.

A great whack
A lot of what I do is to try to be one step ahead of everybody in developing new media habbits. It’s a tough job, but to sell my knowledge, insights and expertise to clients can be even tougher. Because a lot of the time they just simply don’t understand what I’m talking about.
This is why I immediately fell in love with the following quote, I spotted on ConversationAgent:
“Nothing succeeds like mediocrity because everybody understands it so well.”
Look at it and think about it. Because it’s just so true.
What I can’t really decide upon is whether I love it, because it gives me faith that I’m doing the right thing and just waiting for the clients to catch up, or because I’m trying to find a passifier for when the going gets tough? Or maybe I’m just trying to realign myself to new expectations?
Nah….

Great inspiration for new adventure
If you’re looking for someone to spur you on with a web venture, take a look at the presentation David Heinemeier Hansson did at Startup School. It’s unbelievably awsome.
In the presentation David presents his views on whats needed to build a business online.
The presentation is a testament to two things, I’ve always believed:
(1) All free = No business.
(2) You don’t have to be a giant to have a great business.
After having watched this there is no excuse not to follow that dream and build a succesful online business.

Reboot - but not for me this year
Reboot, the Danish gathering of more or less strange and/or inspiring people taking place for two days in early summer every year, has been an on/off experience for me. Sometimes I have had a hard time relating to the spacy subjects being discussed - other times it has been absolutely stellar.
This year the theme will be ‘Free’. But I won’t be there, even though I would actually have liked to, because at the end of June I will be in San Francisco.
But if you’re looking for a conference to get inspired about what’s happening in the tech world, and where the opportunities for doing something fun and worthwhile, Reboot is a very good bet.
